Condolences and support expressed for the Government and People of France

The Government of Timor-Leste conveys to the Government and people of France condolences regarding the loss of life caused by the violent and criminal acts of the past 24 hours.

Timor-Leste joins the global community in condemning these terrorist acts and stands in solidarity with the people of France. At this difficult time the Prime Minister Timor-Leste is mindful of the President of the French Republic, François Hollande and Prime Minister Manuel Valls, and expresses support for the Government and all security and medical personnel who are doing their best to cope in this extraordinarily tragic and challenging situation.

Prime Minister of Timor-Leste, Rui Maria de Araújo said  “our hearts go out to the people of France, to all those sadly impacted by these traumatic events. They remain in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.”
